Experiencing the best of Memphis

Bringing it all together—that’s our language at LEO—and why planners for Merkle’s Performance Marketing Executive Summit called us to help make their important, invite-only event sing in Memphis. We rolled out the city’s best, organizing custom Memphis-centric events, including tours to Graceland and the National Civil Rights Museum, along with a unique culinary event where attendees made special sauces and rubs with local award-winning barbecue pit masters. A community give-back at St. Jude Children’s Hospital found attendees meeting with an adult cancer survivor and making care packages for St. Jude families. And a leisurely biking excursion rolled through downtown Memphis and along the mighty Mississippi.

The summit culminated in a high-energy event at another Memphis landmark, the iconic downtown Columns building, with custom branded décor pieces to create a high-end atmosphere with strategic touches of the Merkle brand and theme, “It’s in the Mix.” Delicious Southern foods and music, along with interactive food stations (making dragon’s breath macaroons!), a performance bartender and silk-screen T-shirt-making station kept the evening upbeat. So that all execs could share the experience with colleagues, even those who couldn’t attend, a photo booth kiosk allowed guests to pose and post to favorite social media. As part of its charge from Merkle, LEO also was tasked with creating a modern and three-dimensional custom-built stage set to frame the general sessions. Thanks to LEO, Merkle had the perfect backdrop at every angle.
